Gaurav Wasan Baba ka Dhaba Case
On 7th October 2020, Gaurab Wasan posted a video on street blogging featuring Kanta Prasad the owner of Baba Ka Dhaba, the owner of Baba Ka Dhaba. The old couple (Kanta Prasad and Badami Devi ) runs a Dhaba in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi. They woke up and prepared the food by 9:30 am but till 1:30 they could hardly manage to earn RS.70. Their business is highly hampered by this pandemic situation.
Swad Official (Gaurav Wasan) could not tolerate the pain of the couple and decided to help them financially. that’s why he rase a fund for them. but it was gone viral on social media.
Within 24 hours Baba collected 73,600 in cash and approx 2 lakh from the fund. On 8th October 2020, Gaurav and Baba went to the bank to deposit the balance but they could not get the statement on the passbook due to some technical issues.
Enquiring about the matter both came to know that Baba’s account is freezed due to sudden lump sum transactions. The banker informed that Baba’s account is credited with 20-25 lakhs. After coming out from the bank instantly he posted another video thanking his subscribers for their support and asked them not to pay any more since they saved enough.
According to Gaurav he paid around 3 lakhs 45 thousand to Baba . The amount are as follows
- A cheque of 2 lakhs 33 thousand
- 1 lakh through NEFT
- 45 thousand collected through Paytm
But according to Baba, he is paid only 73,600. he was told Gaurav has been cheating on him with the money so he filed a complaint against him charging him for fraudery.
